Opportunity: Do you have experience in supporting IT manufacturing systems? Have you got experience in IT system installations, implementation and administration of the IT infrastructure? Looking for an exciting contract role? If yes then please read on.

Your role as a IT Support Specialist  based in Norfolk will involve support existing and new IT manufacturing systems to ensure that production at the plant is smooth and continuous, actively support initiatives to improve business processes and to provide general user and desktop support to users at the manufacturing plant. 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that IT systems are stable and in compliance with the companies standards in Thetford, Liverpool and Elstree.
  • Supporting and providing technical expertise to end users across the manufacturing and office environment in Thetford, Liverpool and Elstree.
  • Carrying out IT related audits and contributing in preparation and remediation activities.
  • Performing IT system installations, implementation and administration of the IT infrastructure.
  • Complying with the process environment conditions and current regulations (cGMP, ERES, EHS, divisional procedures and manuals).
  • Readily available to support IT emergencies outside of office hours remotely or if required on site.  This arrangement would be for 2 weeks of each month and for the duration of the contract. 

This is a 6 months contract role which will be reviewed for a possible extension or go permanent however this is dependent on the individual and business performance.
The PAYE hourly rate is £32.23.

Skills: To apply for the IT Support Specialist role you will have the following:

  • IT systems administration.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or 3 years’ experience in a similar IT role.
  • Knowledge of IT manufacturing systems in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in using various operating systems e.g. Win 10, Win Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and VMWare environment.
  • Experience or a good awareness of working with an Electronic Batch Records system (e.g. Siemens).
  • HMI/PLC experience would be a nice to have.
